The BORT OmoControl shoulder joint brace works against subluxation and ensures recirculation of the humerus with simultaneous correction of the internal arm rotation. Therefore, it is in particular suitable for stroke patients during the rehabilitation phase and provides valuable support in everyday use.

From hemiparesis and hemiplegia...

If brain damage is incurred, e.g. as a consequence of a stroke or a tumour disease, partial (hemiparesis) or full (hemiplegia) paralysis of one half of the body may result. Freedom of movement is then severely restricted.

This paralysis causes subluxation in the shoulder joint: The humerus can no longer be held in the joint socket with muscle strength
